Head Coach

Katelyn Halstead
Assistant Coach
Sarah Heinevetter is in her tenth year as head coach of the Franklin High School Dance Team and thirteenth year as founder and head coach of Franklin Spirit, Prep, and Mini. She is currently employed at Franklin High School as a Family and Consumer Education teacher. Sarah grew up dancing competitively at Young Dance Academy and in high school was on the Franklin Varsity Dance Team. She received a scholarship as a member of the Middle Tennessee State University dance team. After ten years of coaching, Sarah is now four time middle school state champion, thirteen time high school state champion, two time national pom champion, and the 2020 WACPC Coach of the Year. She also started The Warehouse Dance WI company where she works with teams and dancers all over the state on choreography, technique, and consulting.
Katelyn Halstead was the previous Head Coach for the varsity dance program at New Berlin Eisenhower from 2012-2023. Under her leadership, the team received the 2015 Jaci Kosin Sportsmanship Award and led the team to 9 state titles in D3 Pom and D2 Jazz. Katelyn grew up dancing competitively for Young Dance Academy and danced professionally for Milwaukee's Major League Baseball team and the Milwaukee Wave for 7 years. She has a master's degree in teaching and is currently employed at Wellpoint Care Network as the Director of Talent Development. She lives in Franklin with her husband and two kids.

Brandi
Berg
Assistant Coach
Brandi Berg is in 9th year with the Franklin Dance Program and 2nd with Franklin High School. She currently is the Youth Developmental Team Director and in her ninth year coaching Franklin Spirit. She is employed in the Wauwatosa School District as a Middle School Counselor. Brandi grew up competitively dancing at Next Step Dance Studio. She was a four year member and captain of the Franklin Varsity Dance Team and five time state champion. She is now a 11 time state-champion Middle School Coach. Brandi was a member of the dance team while at UW-Lacrosse before transferring to UW-Madison where she graduated with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies. After, received her Masters Degree in School Counseling from Marquette University. She is the 2025 WACPC Coach of the Year.
